This notice explains what personal information Phobia Expert collects, why, where it goes and what your rights are. We have kept it short and in plain English.

Who we are
Phobia Expert (phobiaexpert.com) is run by Digital Alchemy FZ-LLC, the company behind clinical hypnotherapist Adam Cox’s work. For anything to do with your personal information, email adam@adamcox.co.uk and Adam will reply personally.
The short version
- The intake on our home page runs in your browser. Your answers are not sent anywhere unless you ask us to email you your match and free session.
- If you do, we use your first name, email address, the fear you chose, the language you chose and whether you are in the UK to send that email and so the recommended expert can follow up with you by email.
- The fear you tell us about counts as information about your health, so we only collect it with your clear permission. You can withdraw it at any time.
- This site does not use cookies, analytics or advertising tracking.
- We never sell your information or pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
What we collect and why
1. The intake
When you answer the three questions, your answers stay on your own device and nothing is sent to us. If you then ask for your match and free session by email, we collect your first name, email address, the fear you chose (and anything you typed about it), your language, whether you are in the UK, the date and time, and the wording you agreed to.
We use this to send your email straight away from our Google Workspace account, sent by our automation system, and we add your details to our email system (Systeme.io) with labels showing your language, your fear and whether you are in the UK. This lets the recommended expert follow up with you by email about your fear. We only send you general advice and offers if you tick the second, optional box.
If you choose Portuguese, replies to our email go to Fabiana de Siqueira, the specialist we recommend for Portuguese speakers, and we may share your first name, email address and fear with her so she can help you.
2. Booking a consultation
Our recommendation links take you to booking pages run by the specialist: courses.adamcox.co.uk (run on Systeme.io) for Adam Cox, and Calendly for Fabiana de Siqueira. Those pages have their own privacy notices. Card payments are handled by the payment provider, and we never see your card number.
3. Emails you send us
If you email us, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you. Please do not send detailed medical information by email.
4. Website logs
Like almost every website, our web host keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies to track you, and it does not use analytics or advertising tools. If we ever add any cookies that are not essential, we will update this notice and ask for your permission first.
Our legal basis
- Your match and free session by email, and follow-up from the recommended expert: your explicit consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a)).
- Occasional advice and offers by email: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Website security and logs: our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
Who handles your information for us
- Hostinger: hosting for this website and for our automation system
- Google Workspace: our email account, which sends your email
- Systeme.io: our email list and booking pages
- Cloudflare: domain name services
- Fabiana de Siqueira, if you chose Portuguese, as described above
Some of these companies store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the legal safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or UK adequacy decisions.
How long we keep it
- Intake answers you do not send to us: not kept at all.
- Our automation system keeps a working record of each request for up to 30 days, then deletes it automatically.
- Your details in our email system: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If you have not opened any of our emails for two years, we delete your details.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you and send you a copy, correct anything that is wrong, delete your information, stop using it or stop emailing you, or send it to you or another organisation in a usable format. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. For anything else, email adam@adamcox.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), the UK data protection regulator.
Children
Phobia Expert is for adults. If you are under 18, please do not send us your details. A parent or carer is welcome to contact us instead.
Your health
Phobia Expert helps you find the right kind of help. It is not a diagnosis, and hypnotherapy is not a replacement for medical care. If you are worried about your health, please speak to your GP or doctor.
